Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a 4gb Ear Gear 4th Generation Multimedia Player. I transferred about 700 songs from my computer but when I turned the player on to start enjoying my music...only 128 of the 700 songs will play. When I open the player, it shows that all the 700 files are there. All the files are in MP3 format. The only software that was provided with the player was a video conversion program. Other than the music, there are no other files (video or photo). How can I get all the songs I transferred to play? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I contacted Ear Gear when the same thing happened to me and they said it was because there are partitions for music, photos, videos, etc. Music is only allotted 1 GB. Sucks, huh? They can remove it if you contact them, but it costs to ship and it's $20 for them to do it. Hope that helps.

How can i transfer songs from my old ipod to my new ipod touch 4th generation?

Hi,

You can transfer the songs from the old iPod to the new iPod using the iTunes Software installed in the Computer. It is required to connect the old iPod to the Computer and sync the songs to the iTunes Software. Select the Sync iPod option from the File Menu. Once you sync the songs from the old iPod you can connect the new iPod and Sync again to transfer the songs from the iTunes.

Please feel free to get back to us for further assistance.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Loading music on mp3 suffle style player

All of you posted this question under model # GPX ML648B, so my directions only apply to that particular model - every mp3 player is different:
To transfer music, use Windows Media Player - in order to transfer the songs without getting an error message, I would switch the player to MTP mode; and I would only add songs that are in mp3 format. Even though this player will read SOME WMA's, it would take me a whole page to explain which ones would work and which ones wouldn't.

For the person who said that they have some sort of iPod - download the iTunes music service - it will recognize your iPod and you will see the icon listed on the left-hand side of the iTunes window. Once you have purchased songs, you can transfer them to the iPod using the iTunes service.

Copying a cd to the ipod

The songs from CD may be in .CDA format, which the IPod doesn't recognize. Use Windows Media Player to Rip the tracks/convert to WMA or Mp3 format, and then transfer them to the iPod. you can also use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs after you're done ripping them.
