Question about Mag Innovision LT976S 19" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
I had to reformat my computer today and I am unable to locate the drivers for my MAG LT976s. I checked MAG's website and could not locate them and multiple searched on yahoo and nothing. I am using Windows XP and have loaded service pack 2 and all the updates (except Internet Explorer 7). At present moment, the settings in the display properties are set to "default monitor" with and 800x600 resolution. If I attempt to change them, things get really ugly looking. Could you provide me with a link to get the drivers I need to make my monitor work properly? Thanks!

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.

usually this problem is caused by a faulty inverter circuit. transistors might been running too hot or a leaky capacitors also.not an easy task but try looking down for any defects on high voltage sections.

Perhaps your screen resolution is set too high. Try using a different display to set your resolution to 800x600, then attach the MAG display. Adjust from there once it is working...

I would think that the monitor is the issue, especialy that in safe mode it still does not function properly!
The fault with the monitor may be in the scan amplifier circuits, and or the power supply.
When I used to service these, I found many times that there were defective electrolytic capacitors in the scan amplifier sections and the power supply that gave problems.
This type of repair is time consuming, and when out of warranty it may not be worth the cost.
I would be seriously considering an LCD monitor.

I have had similar problems with my Mag LCD monitor. I recently dicovered that the problem was with the adapter and not the monitor. Try replacing the power adapter.

Tips for a great answer:
Problem is not with the speakers, but with the driver.
