Question about Mitsubishi VS-55707 TV

2 Answers

I have a VS 55707 . Remote will not keep system turned on

When I click the remote the power on light comes on for about 3-4 seconds and then turns off. It gas done this several times and then without notice, it will stay on for several weeks until it happens again. I keep attempting to get it to power on and then all of a sudden it decides to turn on. I am unable to find the source of problem. Is there a component or is this a dead issue and not repairable. The tv has a beautiful picture when it is running. I have a smaller 45" tv same brand and type (projection) and similar problem. This one so far has not turned on once it started with this problem. I would so appreciate a hand with this.

The problem is in your power supply there are small caps electrolityc capacitor that may be dry if you have esr meter check them and replace is around voltage regulator check for 25mfd at 200 volts or 4.7 mfd ..

Look for small capacity around regulator 2.2,4.7,10,or 25, mfd voltage maybe 150 to 250 volts just e-mail if you still have a proble I' will take a look to squematic and give you right part location

Hello,

Your power supply board is not yet dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help in solving the problem....

Power Problems

Try leaving it unplugged overnight. It is possible it needs to discharge. If that doesn't work, I'd say you either have a bad switch, or a bad power supply. Hopefully the switch, because that's much easier to fix. Can you bridge the switch connectors with a wire? If it doesn't come on and stay on when you do that, it's a power supply issue (and not nearly as simple to fix).

Easy! But you will need the original remote. On the remote is a button called QV for quick veiw. Press that button at the same time with the 9 button. This will open the lock, But it will return when you turn off the set and turn back on again. If you want it to do a normal turn on , once you open the lock you must go into the menu and remove the lock from the set completely. You may be able to find a friend or a store that might let you borrow an original remote? Sorry to be the bearer of poor news my friend. Good Luck
