42hp84

I work at ABC Warehouse and i might be getting a defective 42hp84 but it has a black line from top to about the middle of the tv. Also if when you first start the tv colorful lines flash until I change the channel many times and it goes away. But the line still stays there no picture. Is it possible to fix this for cheap. do you have any idea what it might be what part needs to be replaced if so can you email me at justin_darr@yahoo.com thanks
