Question about Refrigerators
We had an electric diode replaced a few days ago and now all of a sudden the temp controls are flashing E for the freezer and F for the refrigerator side. I reset the circuit and turned the fridge off and on, and it was ok for awhile but now the E and F are flashing again. The fridge is running and cold. Any thoughts? The Frigidaire book says to call in when temp controls are flashing, which I'll do on Monday, but thought I'd ask here, too. Thanks.
E-f relates the evaporator fan. lasttime i had that happen it was problem with the mother board located under the refrig, replaced it and all was well

Yes it is best to replace the whole icemaker. Heaters don't go bad very often but thermostats do. You need to know what you are doing to test these parts. I would recommend replacing the whole ice maker and I have worked on thousands of them.
