We purchased a trutech television a while back and now have finally gotten around to getting it hooked up. I have run the coax cable to the television and have tried to get the dish network to work on it. I have tried every single possible option in the setup menu and it will not tune in any stations. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Cannot get the satellite to show up
You should contact TruTech technical service at these telephone numbers for technical assistance: 1-8002526123 and 1-888252-6252. Also call dish network and see if they might have a solution to your connection problems. I hope this helps you with your problem.

I would purchase a universal remote control from Best Buy or any type of electronic store. You can get brands such as Logitech, GE, RCA or One For All universal remotes. Purchase one and see if it is programmable to your brand of TV. In some cases the brands might be listed on the back of the packaging. Sometimes depending if you have cable TV or satellite boxes, their remotes maybe programmable as well, but are limited to just the basic functions of the TV. You can also purchase universal remotes from drug stores like CVS as well. Good luck : )
when u connect a satellite disk to your tv set, you bypass the tv channels, you can control on satellite receiver, not the tv. you might have a different cable to connect satellite, as scart or rca cables, when you power on the receiver, the tv switch to aux(AV1) automatic.
Any brand will do. They dont mention TruTech because it is a OEM brand that Target has had manufactured from many different sources. See here.... http://www.iconnectdots.com/ctd/2007/05/targets_trutech.html
Hook The VGA Cord (PC INPUT) into Your Laptop's Hookup Spot Turn The TV Input to VGA Or PC or Computer and on the Laptop it should show up if you Hit The Function Key + F8 If You Are using A Desktop Hook It To the VGA Out Just Like You Where Hooking Up To A Computer and Turn The INPUT on the TV to VGA or PC or Computer and it should show up just like A Computer Monitor
You have to buy a adaptor for coaxial to television antenna hook-up. One side is used to hook up the cable to and the other side is to hook up to you televisions antenna's screw hook-up. These adaptors can be bought in most electronic stores and you should be able to find them on line. Just use google for cable to television adaptors. I hope this helps you with your problem.
Tried various blog comments and came up with one that semi-worked. For the above LCD TV DVD combo (Trutech Model PVS31170551) the code for directv is 10030. It allows you to control the TV portion of the LCD with the Directv remote but it does not control the DVD part of the LCD.
I'm 90% satisfied with the solution, thanks to the bloggers.
The official website for this item is http://1800customersupport.com/trutech. Try emailing them, or call them at 1-888-252-6252. Trutech is the store brand for Target stores. So many companies make their products. This website isn't the official site for all Trutech products, just some of them, like this 15" LCD TV.
