I cleaned my carb on onan 318 john deere , now the needle and seat is not shutting off the gas . what is the proper float level adjustment

On most float-type carburetors, the float is usually perpendicular to the edge of the carburetor body when the needle is seated.Turn the carb upside down and adjust the float if necessary, to where the float is parallel to the carburetor bowl mounting surface. There are tangs at the front of the float where it hangs on the pin that can be bent up or down to accomplish this.
