Most common problem with gas stoves is a bad oven ignitor, doesyour oven usually "click" start?? or use a glow style ignitor?? do you have the model number??

there are 4 possibilities for your problem ill go over all 4 just in case.. Can you see a pilot flame underneath??? does it grow larger when the temp is selected higher?? if not sounds like a bad thermostat. if the flame does grow larger, enough to extend out and hit a little sensor rod located at tip for the burner assy??? that little bulb/ sensor is connected to the safety valve, if its completely engulfed in flame and still does not open valve you need a new safety valve.*** you might have knocked the sensor bulb outta holder with something in the broil area, make sure its secures to front of burner ig niter straight and secure. lastly does it even spark to light???? one module controls all the sparking for the entire unit. so if you turn on oven andget no spark, try this;; turn on oven 200 degrees , now while watching the burner try lighting any of the top burners(turn to the light position where it clicks) did the oven light that way??? if so you have a bad spark switch for the oven control. if you still saw no spark you have a bad spark module

Our MAGIC CHEF gas range has a pilot light that comes on, the ignitor comes on, but the oven does not work heat. Any ideas would be appreciated.

First off, decide which you have, a pilot lite or an igniter coil. In electronic controlled units, when the oven won't light, as long as there's gas available, 98% of the time the igniter is bad, even though the old one may glow and seem to be very bright, it could have a small hairline crack in the ceramic, which would not allow the proper amount of electrical current to travel to the gas oven safety valve, which would then make it open and release the gas. A new igniter works almost every time.

I have a magic chef oven model # 61S04PAW. the

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.

I have an early 70's Magic Chef series VI oven/stove. The stove works fine. The oven takes about 30 minutes to light. When oven knob is turned pilot works fine. There is no gas odor before the oven lights.

My model is a UA119A-2W and I cannot find a place to light the oven pilot. Nor can I find a copy of the owner's manual anywhere online. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My magic chef stove model#31100paw oven will not heat up but all four stove burners are working just fin.what is going on?

This oven and range work from two separate regulators and it sounds like the one for the oven has failed. Have it replaced and that should get you going again. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I cant find the stove top pilot

Electric Ignition (sparking clicking noise when control knob is turned to "light" setting) do not have pilots. The spark ignites the gas.
