Question about Washing Machines

Samsung J845 Front Loading washing machine. The door is stuck, it seems the latch inside is broken?? Not sure, but am unable to get the uniforms that are in it out! It did finish its cycle. I just need to get the clothes out and fix it. Any ideas on how to get the door open without breaking it would be great, and then maybe how to repair it??

I also have a broken latch on door, at the moment I am using a screw driver to pry open, theres a silver part inside between the latch and main part of the door in which I push a small screwdriver into to open. Would like to know how to fix also as I have pulled the door off and tried to fix but to no avail. Not sure if there is a part broken or I am just not putting back correctly.

There is a part on the door that is broken. if your door handle is not automatically springing back to close when you open it there is a small thin piece in the door if you take it off that acts as the safety release for the child proof mechanism. If this is missing then you definitly have to find a new part as this helps to open the door. it is located next to the silver clip andit acts as the holder for the lock i too have the same problem and still are trying to look for part.

WFW9200SQ00 Whirlpool washing machine. Door strike doesn't go in the latch, seems a mechanical issue. There is a little white pin inside the latch on the way. Any ideas what can be wrong?

Hello,

Does the door strike seem to be broken and is that what you see inside of the latch asm.? if no the strike is ok i suspect the latch itself has broken apart and your seeing a internal part of it through the opening where the strike fits into, in which case the latch/lock assambly would need to be replaced.

The part numbers are

Ge front loading washer door won't unlock

Some machines do this when the power is cut, there should be what looks like a screw heat on the front of the handle which will allow you to unlock the door and open it. If there is still water inside you will need to empty the machine first. There is usually a hatch at the bottom of the unit, open this hatch and you will find a cap to unscrew, unscrewing this cap will empty the contents of the machine onto your floor so be prepared!!!!!

I put some washing in my samsung J845 front loader the door will not lock before the washing can be done. my husband brought a new door latch due to the other one been burnt out and he put it back on the...

Just bang the door again until the error goes away. The door is not lined up and won't latch properly. At least that is what ours does. I usually slam the door on my machine.

J845 washing machine door won't open

1. Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
2. Remove the front lower kick panel.
3. Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the bottom of the door latch assembly.
4. Located on the bottom of the door latch assembly is a tear-drop shaped tab.
5. Gently pull the tab down about quarter inch or until a click is heard.
6. The door may now be opened. Your door lock is broken; actually you have to wait 2 minutes after the wash is over to try the door. If you cannot have access through under the machine, you can try through the top. Some models have a cord behind the dispenser tray.

Broken front door

you need to buy a new 'handle'. to open the door for the time being, disconnect power and then use a coat hangar to pull the latch towards you, ie. outwards
