Out of Range

I just purchased the L1916HW screen i was playing around with the screen options and then it went to the Out of Range mode. the troubleshooting facts in the user's manual says to set screen resolution to panel native resolution at 60 Hz but i dunno how to do this if it's not letting me access any other buttons..
Help will be appreciated.

I have been using my monitor for over 6 months and have received the Out Of Range message when changing settings, however it would time out after the message came up and I would change it to something lower and never had a problem. Today I connected my laptop to the docking station like I have always done and the message appears but will not go away. I have changed settings and nothing is working.

I developed this problem after trying to adjust the monitor with the absurd bezel controls.

Been running fine on Vista for nearly a year. Did a security update and on reboot it was set at some distorted resolution. I went into display settings and the native setting was not there, but an option for maintaining aspect ratio was there, so I clicked it and the Out of Range appeared and froze PC.

I have tried every solution mentioned and nothing works. The only thing that works is to go into safe mode and disable the display adapter, and then reboot into normal mode runnnig under the generic VGA adapter.. but then only standard resolutions are available which give distorted views.

I have uninstalled the display adapter and reinstalled it.. nothing works. As soon as I enable the on-board video driver the screen freezes on the Out of Range error.

The safe mode solution did not work for me. I have two monitors running, one was having the "out of range problem".
However, I "rolled back" my driver to the previous version and the problem was immediately solved.

Boot in safe more. Tap the F8 key while the computer if booting. Keep tapping it. A boot menu will come up. Chose boot in safe mode.

in windows, right click on the desktop and select properties. Go to the rightmost tab, and use the slider to set the resolution to 800 x 600.

Reboot your computer. Let it boot normally. Go back to the resolution slider and set it to either 1280 x 1024 (4:3), or 1440 x 900 (widescreen) depending on what type pf monitor it is.

When i play black ops on my ps3 it freezes when i play firing range ive checked the secret menu and its saying my hard disk is corrupt how do i get around this?

1. Place you finger on the on/off sensor leave it their until you console turns off then take you finger off the sensor.

2. Place your finger back on the on/off sensor leave it their until you hear 2 consecutive beeps then take your finger off.

3. Once the safe mode screen comes on select the option PS3 SYSTEM RESTORE.

NOTE: A PS3 system restore will delete all data except the OS. I recommend backing up your console onto a USB flash drive if possible.

Good Luck!

chapp29, You didn't tell me the brand name of the electrolytic filter capacitors that are on your monitors "switch-mode-power-supply / cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp-ballast" circuit board. How did you measure (check) the capacitors? Are any of the rubber seals pushed out of the bottom of any capacitors? What is the "date of manufacture" of this unit? Will L1916HW work connected to a different "known-good" pc? Will "known-good" monitor work ok when connected to your pc? 12fixlouie

Inout signal out of range Answer Failed: retry

It shows out of range because the PC is sending out the video signal that is higher than the monitor can display, you need to set the PC video resolution to the native resolution: 1024 x 768 @60Hz. You can reboot the PC into save mode (hitting F8 key while booting up) then set the resolution to 640 x 480 (try 1024 x 768 if it allows you to do so), reboot and reset the resoltion to 1024 x 768 @60Hz.

We have purchased "Let's Ride Silver Buckle Stables" and installed it. The play screen has a pop up that says" Input Signal out of range", which is on every screen, so you cannot see...

1. If there is an options program that you can run for the game, set the video resolution to something your monitor can handle.

2. Since few programs have that option, you may right click on the icon, select properties, and select compatability mode. Force the resolution to 640 x 480 and see if that helps.

You are getting this error because your monitor cannot handle the resolution that the program is requesting and it's out of range of what the monitor can handle.
