Sounds like an overheating issue.Try CPR in New York City. They are faster than Sony, and cheaper! They have a usual turnaround of 3-5 business days. And if you become a fan on their facebook page, mention it and you will get a 10% discount.

Here is the link to their facebook page, it has all the info you need.

Gives me an error E 68 what is that? New xbox is only 10 months old.

The e68 error on your Xbox 360 is caused by a hard drive/HDD problem, much like all of the problems in the "e6x" family of error codes on the Xbox 360 platform. It can be caused by an internal connection error with the hard drive, a general failure of the hard drive, or overheating of the hard drive. Basically, there is quite a large range of things that can cause the Xbox 360 e68 problem, which can make troubleshooting the issue slightly difficult.

One red ring, erra 68.

What you need to do is try using the console without the hard drive or with a different hard drive, one red ring means a hardware failure, and the error code e68 is in relation to the hard drive. If using the console with a different hard drive, or none at all doesnt work, ensure that the fans are working as they often also cause the e68 error and a single flashing red light.
I hope this helps. Good luck.

E 68 error code.

The e68 error on your Xbox 360 is caused by a hard drive/HDD problem, much like all of the problems in the "e6x" family of error codes on the Xbox 360 platform. Basically, there is quite a large range of things that can cause the Xbox 360 e68 problem, which can make troubleshooting the issue slightly difficult.
Step one to fix the e68 code on your Xbox 360 is to remove the internal hard drive and try playing your console without it. If it then works, then you can be sure that you can permanently fix the problem. If not, then you will have more serious issues on your console that will need to be checked over by Microsoft

if it is the hdd there are guides on the net on how to fix it

When i switch on my xbox 360 error code 68 appears and one red light on the system

Hello Sir =)

E68:
Hard Drive Error... It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it, This can also be caused by a Hard Drive Eprom Error. Some also believe this might be caused by a problem with the fans.

The xbox360elite the red light flashes and e68 comes up on the screen with different language on the tv screen is also showing.

E68 means that you have a bad hard drive. Take out your hard drive and turn the unit on to confirm. Once this is done just buy a new hard drive and your good to go! Or now Microsoft just released where you can use a Flash drive :]

1 Red Light, error E 68

E68 is an hard drive error, turn it off and remove your hard drive, try to play a game without it, if it works, turn it off again, replace the hard drive and see how you get on, if it still will not work can you try the hard drive on another xbox, this will tell you if its a problem with the hard drive or an internal problem with the box.

What is E68 and how do i fix it? when i switched on my xbox 360 a red light appeared in the bottom left of the power switch and a system error appeared on the screen with E 68 what is this and how do...

The E68 error means that your hard drive is either broken or not connected propperly. Turn the xbox off and take out your hard drive and put it back in. When you put it back in make sure that you hear it click at the back of the xbox. then turn it on. if it still doesent work your hdd is ruined and youll have to get microsoft to fix it.

Screen says system error. A large E 68 is at the bottom of the screen and the red light on the front of the xbox is flashing.

E68: Voltage Error... This error means that the Xbox 360 has insufficent power to function properly. This can be caused by an error in the hard drive or the fans that make them **** up too much power, it can also be caused if you have unnecessary accessories attached to the console like an external fan unit. Attempt to remove unnecessary accessories first, and then necessary components such as the hard drive and USB devices. If you have any case mods you may want to investigate those as well.
Also try removing the HD, and starting it up without it.
