How backup iPod music to Mac

iPod is sensational and music lovers keep their iPod just like a very precious asset. It really takes a lot of time to go through your favorite music and transfer selected music to your iPod. It takes lots of time, money and knowledge to transfer songs to your iPod.
You love your music collection and you certainly don't want to lose it accidentally. There are many instances when you may end up erasing your content from iPod. Many of my friends ask me how they can recover songs from the iPod which they accidentally erased and I ask them If they have backup and the answer is no. So it is not possible to restore music to iPod without having a backup.
By using a software, you can backup your music, videos, photos and other stuff to your computer. You can create new play lists, edit existing play lists, delete songs, transfer new songs and do lots of other things. These software work with all the old and latest models of iPod, iPhone and makes transferring files easy.
Now you can backup your music on Mac easy following the below steps
Step 1: Download iPod to Mac on you Mac and run it .
At this time, sync you ipod with Mac.
Step 2: Export checked music to local
a) Open the ipod music you want to export and check the ipod music in the file list;
b) Click the "Export checked files to local" button to start exporting files:
Step 3: Select a local folder and click the "Save" button to transfer the music from iPod to Mac local folder:
If you fail to find the most appropriate output folder from the "Profile" list for your songs, you can customize a profile to put your songs.
OK , through by this easy steps you can find out your ipod music on Mac now! if you want to transfer your iphone music to computer you can use iphone to computer software to backup easy.

USE TWO DIFFERENT IPODS AND LIBRARIES IN ONE COMPUTER

Let's say you have one computer and two iPods. It's easy enough to synchronize both iPods with just one computer, as long as both iPod users are happy accessing the same music library or the same set of playlists. But that can get hard to manage, especially if you're manually updating the iPod or adding new music that you'd like to keep separate.

In most cases, the easiest way to keep discrete libraries for syncing both iPods is to create a separate user account for each person who uses an iPod with the computer. The Insider Secrets video shows the steps for doing this using Mac OS X; here's how to create a separate user and share music under Windows XP.

First, click Start > Control Panel > User Accounts (Start > Settings > Control Panel if you use the Classic view). Click "Create a new account," and follow the instructions.

Windows XP kindly provides a shared folder that already includes a directory called Shared Music (find it under C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersDocuments). The easiest thing to do is to copy all the music on your computer into this folder so that all users can access it. Then the lucky owner of the new iPod can pick and choose what music to include in his or her iTunes Library. From the new account, in iTunes, click File > Add Folder To Library, and copy over whatever music you want (make sure to check the box next to "Copy files to iTunes music folder" when adding to library, under Advanced in the Preferences dialog box, so that iTunes doesn't consolidate the files for the music library).

Now both users can share all or part of the same library, add new music whenever necessary, and automatically update their iPods without the hassle of manually sifting through a large shared library.

How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer

***** THIS DOSE NOT WORK WITH IPOD TOUCH OR IPHONE*******

open itunes connect ipod

from the summer page at the bottom

put a check next to manually manage music and video

ok - close itunes

go to : start > my music > itunes

right click on itunes folder and select copy

go to : start > my computer > choose the drive of the ipod > then right click >Paste

take your ipod to a new cpu

connect ipod

go to : start > My Computer > choose the drive for the ipod > find itunes folder > right click on it choose cut

go to : Start > my music

If there is an existing itunes folder in here delete it unless there is music in the library - this will remove the existing library

right click > paste

after you paste it - restart the computer

( download itunes if you have not already )

open itunes and all your music and playlist will be here

if you get a message the the library was created from an old library then follow this step to resolve

Iforgot my lock combination for the ipod

You have to restore the ipod using itunes. An apple rep will tell you the same thing. It sucks to loose your music if you don't have all of the music on your computer; and that people assume just because you forgot your password you stole it. Hope this information is helpful to your issue :)
