Our Lexmark E352dn printer displays a 'REMOVE PAPER/STANDARD BIN' error message. How can we fix this? I read another solution that talked about a small flap on the left-hand side of the output tray, but I can't find a flap like the one described.

This error is cause by either having your output paper bin full of paper or the flag sensor out of alignment where the paper comes out of the top. Look at the top f the printer where the paper comes out and you should see a black plastic sensor flag, it should move freely. If it is stuck remove the top cover above it and try to free it so it can move. Below is a picture of the printer with the output sensor flag circled.

If there is no paper on paper bin and you are getting error to remove paper from the standard paper bin, please check for paper jam. it possible that paper stuck right on the path on the paper bin.

The Remove Paper Standard Bin error can be possibly caused by the exit flag that is out of position, stuck or broken. Follow troubleshooting steps found at http://bit.ly/dhOTEo. If any part of the flag or holder appears to be broken, contact Lexmark technical support or a local authorized service provider.

Paper is most likely jammed in the system. Take off the back or front panels, pull paper tray and remove jam. Reboot machine.

In most cases if the printer is asking for an unexpected manual feed it is because the paper tray is not set to the right paper size or type. To set the paper size to the most common size and type (letter size plain paper) use the following instructions.

1. Press the Menu button.
2. Press the right arrow key until Paper Menu then press Check Mark.
3. Press the right arrow key until Size/Type then press Check Mark.
4. Press the right arrow key until Tray 1 then press Check Mark.
5. Press the right or left arrow key until Letter then press Check Mark.
6. Press the right or left arrow key until Plain then press Check Mark.
7. Press the back button until Ready is displayed.

This will set up your printer tray for plain letter paper and should relieve the manual feed error unless yourcomputer is sending other paper size/type settings.

if your getting a standard bin error this is caused by the flag on the top of the printer where the paper comes out or the sensor that it triggers. look to the far left where the paper comes out you'll see the flag make sure it moves freely if it does replace the sensor
