First of all, did you install a desktop theme from an internet site? What did you do, for your theme to turn sideways...and have you thought of doing a system restore, to a date prior to your theme turning sideways>
Are you running windows XP?

Right click ur desktop, choose graphics options,rotation,normal

Just retore your pc to an earlier date, that will fix it.
