Connecting an LG TV to my PC

Hi guys, need some assistance please!
Just having some trouble connecting my LG 19LS4D tv to my PC. At the moment I've got my PS2 and freeview tv running from it.
I've also got my pc connected to it; when i turn on the pc, i get up to the screen with the windows xp black screen, but when it switches to my desktop, the screen goes blank and says 'no input'? If i connect my pc to my old monitor and then switch it on, it works fine and if i then take it out of the monitor and plug it into the LG TV, it works too? Any ideas why it would just stop showing the visual lead halfway through start up?
Many thanks!
Sunny

exactly same problem. All works OK with ORION LCD tv/monitor.Tried new graphics driver. If PC boot up on other monitor and then analogue lead moved to LG , it is possible to change resoloutions. Standby allows awake OK but power off results in no graphic output

sure, you just need correct cables to do so. stop by a Best Buy store and speak to the guys in their Geek Squad dept. (that's their computer and home stereo ent. installers) Provide your model TV and PC to them and they can set you up w/correct cables.

Having trouble connecting laptop to TV

In general, all you need is an S-Video cable. That will connect to the S-Video output jack on most laptops and connect to the RCA jacks on the TV. These usually run about $10-$15 and are available from many online sources.
If your TV has a VGA input, you can get a male to male VGA cable and connect that way, then switch to the external display mode on the laptop.
