Connect the monitor to a different computer, to see if the monitor works at all.
Connect a different monitor to your computer, to see if your computer really is "sending" a video-signal through the "data" cable. If not, then either the data-cable or the video-card inside the computer is faulty.
You don't need a driver for a monitor. It displays the signal that the Video Card sends to it. Check the power cable and monitor video cable at the monitor and at the computer. Disconnect these cables and then reconnect them and tighten the thumbscrews to secure the connection. If you have an onboard video card, you may have a problem with your motherboard, RAM, Processor, Harddrive or Video Card that is preventing the computer from turning on. If you use a PCI, PCI-Express, AGP, etc. video card, check to make sure is it securely seated in it's slot. Also check the power cables going to the video card (if any) and the monitor cable connected to the video card. Else you may have a failed video card, or a problem with your motherboard, RAM, Processor, Harddrive or Video Card that is preventing the computer from turning on.
Hi! it means that the monitor is not picking any signal from the tower or computer.Check all physical cables first esp the video cable from the monitor to the tower.Check if the computer has power by checking lights, sound coming of the machine. Check if monitor cable is securely plugged in to the vga or hdmi port.If you are using a adapter for that cable try to directly plugin the cable without using the adapter. If still no signal, check if you have a external video card or internal.if you have a external video card and thats the one that youre using then remove the external video card(you need to open up the tower and physically remove the external video card) and connect the video cable to the onboard card then check if will get a signal.hope this helps...
well if it wont display anything that means the chipset has been damaged somehow my hp pavilion did the same thing and i had to buy a new graphics card try opening up the computer and have a look if you see heat sinks in a square without a fan that will be the chipset smell it if it smells like burnt plastic it needs replacing
Your aspire does not include a PCI-Express power connector... that's why you'll need to buy an adapter cable that transforms two other type of connectors (molex) available from your power supply into the one you need to feed power to your video card.
check the website for drivers. But it seems to me that there is another problem most computer boot up no matter what screen is hook up. have you tried any other monitors ? If you have and the work im not sure what your issue is but i would say that most likely if another monitor works that it is the monitor but if none of them work it is a graphic card issue. If you could let me know what you are running and i can help more i.e what window's and what type of graphics card you are using
Hi, there is a posibility that the issue is caused by your system unit. NO INPUT SIGNAL occurs when system unit fails to start properly. One possible reason is the power good signal was not sent back by power supply to mother board. You can check for any shorts or grounded device in your system unit. If you can reseat all the cables (power cable, IDE cable), expansion cards, memory cards even microprocessor that will be good. Another thing you can try is to power cycle your computer. If you are not confident enough to do those stuff you can call your computer vendor and ask for assistance.
hello nicky, double check your graphics card, some graphics card has shorted power causing to shutdown. try to replace or swap a new good condition graphics card. For you to examine well try use to swap it to another PC your Acer monitor.
hope this could help you a lot.
Good luck.
