i try and turn the brightness up (fn + f8) but it does nothing? like the key doesnt even work its a brand new laptop
and i go on windows mobility center (vista) and display brightness was not there when it should be i read forums and it say remove quick launch buttons i done that nothing still so can anyone help email ( sam108@hotmail.co.uk ) me or reply on this site please [ sorry for my poor english ]

on my acer laptop using fn + f8 mutes it. To change brightness you press the fn and the left and right arrow keys

it's either a Fn(blue key on lower left of keyboard) and F5, or it's a special button near the power button..

my laptop screen display is not enough but hard drive and all the processor are running. I am not able to see any activity in my laptop. Boot to shutdown is working display is very low light.
