Question about Whirlpool SB160PEE Gas Single Oven
My whirlpool oven will not heat over 270 degrees, it is a super capacity series 465. How can I raise the temperature.
I am having the same problem. I cannot bake anything! My oven wil not heat on bake! v I have to use custom broil and that has been a disastor, I called a repair service but if there is a way to solve this on my own, please let me know.
In an attempt to self clean my oven, I pushed the auto clean button and then pressed start. Instead, nothing happened, but now have a message on the panel reading E1on the left side of panel and -F5- on the right side of panel. I am unable to clear it or operate the oven now.

If it is gas and doesn't light within certain amount of time it will lock out for safety. it sounds like you either have a bad temperature probe (how the oven senses temperature) or a bad computer controller (the brains of temperature control). in either case calling a service company is the right answer. attempting to fix that kind of problem on you own can be dangerous.

Gas or electric??? if gas does it take more than 1min for the flame to ignite??? if so you have a bad ignitor, which will giveyou poor cookin gresults uneven heat, not hot enough temps. if electric does the bottom element heat at all??? a broken element will also create low heat issue obviously.
