Glo warm heater

The glo warm heater keeps shutting itself off My Glo-Warm heater goes out without warning on "low", and I can't run it at all on the "med" or "high" setting. It just goes out...If it were the oxygen depletion sensor, it wouldn't re-light immediately... but mine will. The when the heater is running, the pilot flame looks like it blows away from the pilot orfice-sounds like wind blowing in a microphone and then blows itself out-which turns off the gas to the burner. The pilot will stay lit if I don't turn the heater up-and with no noise. I have a natural gas model with no pressure regulator between the city gas and the heater (but installation instructions don't call for a regulator on natural gas either). My furnace and water heater operate just fine on the city gas without a regulator. Can I adjust the pilot flame to keep it from blowing out?

Hi,
I,d suggest that you have either a case seal Damaged, allowing air into the casing.
Also possible fault may lie within the Flue air pressure Valve/Switch If applicable.
The heater/Boiler will have certain conditions to meet.
The Fan/flue switch ( Pressure switch. Will be designed to speed up the fan, before firing the main Burner.
As for the Noises, i,d suggest that the boiler is whats commonly known or reffered to As Kettling. Which usually indicates Overheating. This would cause the main-burner to distinguish as a fail safe.

Recommendations:- De-scale the heater, with a commercial descaler. Thoroughly flush the System. Then re-fill with required Amount Of Commisioning Fluid. i.e Fernox Or Sentinel et,c.

Also get the Fan/flue checked out for correct running speeds.

The regulator IS not only the issue, but it's a major safety benefit,..the pilot flame is non adunstable..get a cheap regulator(like the ones for the outdoor bbq's)

How do i adjust the flame on ,my glo-warm propane heater?

if there is any adjustment it will be on the gas valve itself under the front of the unit....should have a little door that pulls down....you should see a knob that says "Higher....Lower" something like that....if the knob only says "ON , Off and Pilot" there is no adjustment

It sounds like the thermocoupler is either not adjusted into the flame properly, or you may have gotten a bad one. The thermocouple is the main thing that makes the pilot work.

Glo warm heater

These are vent-free heaters and use an oxygen-depletion sensor to shut a unit off if there is not a sufficient amount of oxygen available for combustion. It is either doing it's job and you may have to open or crack a window while it's operating.

We had a problem keeping the pilot light to stay on, and this site recommended that it could possibly be the thermocoupler that was causing our problems also. We ordered the thermocouple, put it on,hooked it back up and it worked great! Thank you so much.
ordered thermocouple from www.masterparts.net
