Question about Logitech Cordless Mouse

1 Answer

Using a remote keyboard with my Hp LAPTOP

I have a laptop and was using a remote mouse AND a remote keyboard. I cannot find models #s on either the remote mouse or keyboard I was using but both worked fine with the laptop. I left the connection from my HP at a hotel and bought a logitech V220 which works fine with the mouse. I would like to continue to use a remote keyboard but obviously have not purchased the right product. Is there a logitech product that I can use for both functions?

Your wireless mouse should have a small removable USB (dongle). This would be part of the mouse, after removing from mouse insert in Any USB on laptop. Then turn on mouse and HP should recognize!

The drivers for your keyboard and mouse may be corrupt. Try using a USB or Wireless set to navigate with your computer. Go to HP and find your computer. Support/Drivers download. Get the current software fix and establish usage of the devices on your laptop once again.

Has the 'VISION' technology from AMD

When referencing to a computer; desktop or laptop; the inference should be to the model number.

With an HP it's the Product Number.

Hp550 computer not going to sleep mode properly

No matter which model of HP laptop you own, battery life is a big issue. Hibernation mode is designed to increase the battery life of your HP laptop by switching off the monitor, hard drive and other parts of the unit after they have been idle for a specific period of time. While hibernation mode works well most of the time, in some cases, your HP laptop may not wake from hibernation the way it should.

Docking Station Issues Many hibernation problems are caused not by the HP laptop itself but by the docking station to which it is attached. Some models of docking station interfere with the normal operation of the hibernation on the HP laptop. The easiest way to test this is to remove the laptop from the docking station and allow it to sit until hibernation begins. If hibernation mode works with the laptop undocked but not while docked, you know the problem lies with the docking station instead of the HP laptop. b> Remote Desktop Issues If you need to connect to your HP laptop from elsewhere, it is helpful to reset the power settings to the Always On mode before you leave your home or office. Many models of HP laptops do not wake properly from hibernation when users connect to them remotely using the remote desktop feature of Windows. When users connect with remote desktop, the program sends a signal to the remote computer that should wake it from hibernation and allow it to function normally. However, this process does not always work as intended with HP computers, so it helps to change the power settings to allow a seamless connection. Video Drivers Problems with HP laptop hibernation also can be caused by a corrupt or outdated video drive. HP laptops come with built-in video processors, and the drivers they use are installed during the initial setup of the unit. If there is a problem with that driver, HP releases an update, so if you see problems with hibernation, your first step should be to check for an updated video driver. b> External Keyboard and Mouse Sometimes the HP laptop does not respond properly and does not wake from hibernation when you use the built-in keyboard and touchpad mouse. The sensitivity of HP touchpads varies from model to model, and that sensitivity can be reduced over time. You can test for this problem by attaching an external keyboard and mouse to the laptop to determine whether that resolves the problem.

Sounds like your laptop keyboard and possibly the touchpad need to be replaced. You can order them through any authorized HP service center, or you can contact HP for out-of-warranty support if your laptop's warranty has expired.

HP Pavillion ze4400 can this laptop use an external mouse & keyboard ?

Any external USB mouse can be connected to the system. As well as USB keyboard. Or specifically if you go through HP, the mouse part number is: NR152AA, and keyboard is GM321AA. As far as non-HP products you will need to check on compatibility on each. Hope this helps you in this question.

HP laptop keyboard frozen

Hello. If your laptop model is TX-something (convertible screen), do remove battery + powercable. Wait. Start your laptop. If this does not work, you may wish to reset bios.

Keep looking for BIOS update, because problem will repeat until HP address the issue.
