Question about Washing Machines
My problem is after the wash cycle is over the machine will not go to rince unless I turn the knob to rinse after that I have manually put it on spin only to finish the load. My model number is WHRE5260E1WW
It sounds to me like the safety switch for the washer lid is faulty or just out of adjustment (you'll find an arm sticking out of the lid that corresponds to a similarly shaped but larger hole in the jam of the lid and that is where the switch actuator should reside).
Or, your timer might be at fault, since it completes cycles once you manually advance to the next one.
Eliminate the safety switch as the possible fault before moving on to the timer itself, as the timer is more costly.
