It's probably a waste absorber issue.

A fix from FixYa Support:

1. Start with printer off
2. Press and hold resume Button (triangle in the circle) and click "Power" button. Green led should be on
3. While holding the Power button, release the Resume Button.
4. Without releasing the Power Button, click "Resume" button for two times and release Both Buttons.
5. Click "Resume" for four times then soon click "Power" button, to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber).
6. Turn off the printer and turn on again

It wont print

Double check that the error isn't 6C10. I also thought I had an 8C10 error also and that's how I found your unanswered question! But I couldn't find any other internet reference to 8C10 but I did find a YouTube fix for a 6C10 error message. So I got my reading glasses and looked again. Sure enough it was a 6C10 error! I followed the instructions for the 6C10 error fix (resetting Ink Absorber Reset) and my printer is now functioning. Bonus note: My printer is a MP620 and the reset was for a MP550. Same error number though! and also same solution. By now your printer has probably crossed that printer rainbow bridge... but hopefully someone else will need your help? With my reset, I am going to run my $$$ ink cartridges out instead of maintenancing the absorber and then toss mine as well!

I just purchased a Canon Pixma MG6220 and during setup ~> (right after I installed ink cartridges) I received an error code 6C10 ~> telling me to power off printer and restart ~> when it restarts...

I Tried everything, then I had the print head in the middle and turned the printer upside down and shook, out fell a little piece of foam from one of the ink cartridge, now works great.

I have a Canon PIxma MP620 and am getting the Error code 6C10. I've tried many of the suggested 'fixes' listed but so far no luck. I did do some scanning recently, but now even when I move the printer head...

This seems to work with many Canon models and is worth an attempt on your printer.

Canon MP620 Printer has 6c10 error message. Nothing I have tried seems to work. It will not power down unless I unplug it. Then when powering up th ecode comes back again in about a minute.

after youll be sure that you have communication with your internet modem ! delete your printer from your computer and install it again. at list thats what i did with my mp640 on my mac book. system preferences/print + fax. i suppose its something similar with the pc. i solve my problem this way. hope i help.
