I've owned my Razr V3 for about 3 years now and just yesterday as I was talking on it, the display screen cover slid away from the display screen. (This is the part inside of the phone that has the Motorola name written there) There was some degree of sticky goo around the screen and cover. What can I do to repair this problem?
Thats caused from moisture... jus wipe it clean to remove the sticky stuff thats on it and the use thin double side tape or the cheaper way, use a tiny drp of glue on each corner and in the middle along the sides
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

if you take the battery cover off is there a red dot inside beside the bottom of the battery? It may have had some liquid damage or the display chips inside may have bad solder connections... Let me know if i can be of any help!
Sounds like the phone is defective..Contact your cell phone provider to see if they are willing to replace it for you...I believe most company gives you one year warranty for the phone...
Hope that helps

Shoels, You could replace the screen and glass lens/cover but I having done this procedure a few times, don't think it's worth it as the Razr is a fragile phone and the case's just snap fit together. There are cell phone repair shops (depending where you are located) that will replace both the screen and glass cover for a fee. I personally would just look for a shady spot to view my display in daylight, as the V3 isn't worth the trouble/expense to repair (in my humble opinion of course). Good luck
hi, i am afraid to say, the contact between top portion has been damaged. best option would be replace, contact your service provider and request them to replace it. 1 year phone warranty should be covered by your service provider for replace of refurbished. phone and 30 days replacement for new phones.
i am pretty sure hard/soft reset on this phone will not help. :(
you can open the screen cover of your v3. if you have screws drivers thats fits the screws you can open it.
to open it, at the screen of your v3, theirs a 4 little rubbers. remove the rubber (be sure to secure it cause when it drops you have a hardtime finding it) and beneath it are the screws. after talking it off, you can now open the screen. just locate the clips to separate the screen.
no need to open the other side only the screen part...
