Question about Acme 2051 Juicer

1 Answer

Acme Juice Extractor

I have had mine for about 30 years now and when I turn it on it makes a horrific noise and starts to move.  Is there someplace I can take it to or send it to to see if it is worth fixing. I live in Lake Elsinore, California... my mail is sns107@gmail.com

Thanks,
Scottie

YOU CAN GET A NEW ONE FOR ABOUT
$170. DON'T BELIEVE IT WOULD BE WORTH
REPAIRING UNLESS YOU CAN DO IT YOUR-
SELF. THERE ARE REPLACEMENT PARTS
BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE JUICER
APART.

I have it for a few years and used very little, today it started to make noise and vibrate a lot, I disasembled it a few times everything seems all right but the vibrations did not stop, i am afraid of...

This is the nature of the juicer, it does not eject the pulp, and they go out of balance very
easily especially with a new blade installed. Only suggestion is juice only hard produce,
and feed it as evenly and as slowly as possible. I juice apples, carrots and celery.

I need a cutter blade parts no 015180. Can I pay for it on the net?

You can buy it from Waring or Omega, same blade.
Or, just google Acme juicer parts. $20 to $30. Look
out though, found new blade increases vibration. You
can also sharpen old blade by slightly drilling into
each burr on the blade with a small drill bit. Been
using the same blade for several years.

When I start juicing, the machine works beautifully. By the time I am finishing the machine is making a very loud noise and the machine shakes. Any idea what is going on? The machine is less than a year...

It's going out of balance like a washing machine with the clothes
on one side during the spin cycle. I've had mine for 20 years and
have not completely mastered the balance problem. Just try to
feed produce as slowly and as evenly as you can. If it really starts
to vibrate too badly, turn it off immediately or the blade will jump
and cut the feed chute.

Excessive vibration and rattling when I have less than a cup of juice extracted.

I've had an Acme for 21 years and I don't care
what anyone tells you-they vibrate. After years
of trial and error I found mine vibrates less with
a worn blade that I sharpen with a drill. With
a new shredder blade you actually have to file
down the cutting burrs about one third and
adjust the blade to chute gap by unlocking
the adjusting screw on the center of the bottom,
turn it clockwise until blade contacts chute, and
back it off a half turn. Apparently with a slightly
duller blade, smaller gap, the produce goes through
more slowly and evenly. Also severe vibration will
cause the blade to jump up and chip the chute.

Need a manual for acme juicer 6001, juicer at least 30 years old

The juicer hasn't really changed over time, but you
need to be a little mechanically inclined to adjust
and keep it running properly. Call Waring at tel
1 800 492 7464. Good luck. Mine is 21 years
old and running like new.

ACME Supreme Juicerator sudden extreme vibration during juicing - top flew off...

These juicers vibrate, I don't care what anyone tells you.
Mine is 21 years old and I find using a worn resharpened
blade, after adjusting, lessens the vibration. If your not
close to being an auto mechanic, I suggest a pulp ejecting
type juicer like the Miracle MJ1000 for about $130.

I am looking for parts for the Acme 6001 Juice

Just google Acme juicer parts. The new lids are a tight fit and
have to be filed down if you're handy.

My Acme supreme juicerator #6001 trips off several times before I can complete the process of juicing in order to get an 8oz. glass of juice. The motor spins smoothly, no vibration at all.

There is a reset button on the bottom of the
juicer. You will have to separate the base
by removing the 4 bottom screws and adjust
the sensitivity of the reset button turning the
small screw on it. Sorry, but forgot which
direction increases or decreases this. Had
to do it on my 21 year old Acme because of
the same problem.

Acme 5001 on / off button

REMOVE THE 4 BOTTOM SCREWS AND
TRY IT AGAIN. YOU CAN SEE THE SEAM
AROUND THE JUICER WHERE IT SEPARATES.
YOU CAN GET THE SWITCH FROM WARING
AT 800 492 7464. MINE IS FROM 1990 AND
RUNS LIKE NEW. DO ALL MY OWN REPAIRS.

Are both of the metal parts that you twist the top onto still sturdy? One of mine is broken, and I have to find a replacement part.
