Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

From your start screen , swipe left, Scroll down till you find your e-mail. Press on the email and hold till pop up screen turns on . Select pin to start. Should you have more than one email account linked together you have to unlink the account to add it to the start menu. - Swipe left, select e-mail. open e-mail, at bottom right press ... It really sounds like SP3 installing was coincidental. You're not getting to the point that Windows even starts,so it becomes a hardware issue.
Sometimes laptop batteries are hidden under panels and boards you remove to get at things below.
Since you've already taken the machine apart, try it again looking under everything you remove.Remember that laptops don't necessarily use the standard size desktop battery, they're usually smaller.
Make sure Everything is plugged back in when you put it back together.
Other than that, you could very well have a bad Ram stick, try using them one at a time in the bottom slot.
A CPU failure usually allows the POST screen.

Cannot maintain wallpaper.

1. change your theme to windows classic and then setup your favorite wallpaper.
2. if this fails create a new user account and see if you have the same problem in it too. If no, you can use the new user account and delete the one which you are using currently.

Laptop failure

Boot into safe mode by pressing F8 about 10 times during the post screen. Then completely remove your video drivers. Then reboot, into windows normally, go to the Nvidia web site and download the latest graphics drivers for the video card that you have. If this does not solve your problem, then you may have bad video memory on your video card.

Problems booting up--no access to toolbars, etc. on XP

Hi,

To resolve this issue, simple trick is, when it stands at the wallpaper without Start menu and Task bar, Press Alt + Ctrl + Del keys

Then select TaskManager.

In the Task manager, select Process Tab.

Under that select Windows Explorer process and select End

Again click on File menu in the same Window and select New Task.

Type Explorer.exe in the blank and click okay--OK

That should bring the complete screen.
