Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Our LG WM0532HW washing machine will often not begin the wash cycle after the washing mode has been selected. (note the power is on -- the start button has been pushed and the lights are on). After pushing the mode button many times (some times 10 or 100s of times over several minutes) the wash cycle will start. We called a service guy who unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked ok. We/he thought that the computer must have crashed. Now, however, plugging and unplugging (to reset the computer) doesn't seem to have any effect. I would like to contact LG about this, but I can't find a number to call or a web page. Thanks, Gregg Beytin

Lg tromm manual

Problem is too much soap. Wrong soap. Press and hold: SPIN SPEED & SOIL LEVEL buttons--then press POWER button.
Wait for door to lock.

Press the START button (6) times--this will fill the tub with hot water to the maximum setting when it stops filling.

Press the START button two more times--this will enable the tub to tumble.
After 3 hours--turn "off" the washer.
Turn the washer back "on".
Select the shortest wash cycle (usually "quick wash") and press "START". This will rinse out the tub.

PF(Power Failure) error appears each time the washer starts.

PF simply means there was a power failure since the last time you used the machine.
To clear it - simply power cycle it.

Washer spin and not enough water

Spinning both ways is pretty normal. You did not say if your clothes were clean in the end. You may not see much water when it washes, when it rinses you may see about 1/3 thru the glass. Careful with the door aft wash, wait for 2 minutes before opening.
