CAN IT BE THE MOTHERBOARD OR THE SUBWOOFER?

  • Anonymous Mar 26, 2008

Front Left Speaker has no sound. Problem RCA Plug on Subwoofer. Logitech suggested for me to purchase another system if my warranty expired after 2 years.

SINCE THERE WAS NO SOUND COMING FROM THE RIGHT SPEAKER I TOOK OUT THE GREEN WIRE THAT GOES BEHIND THE COMPUTER AND PLUG IT INTO A CD PLAYER THAN I NOTICED THAT THE SOUND CARD OF MY COMPUTER WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY SO I REPLACED THE SOUND CARD NOW IT WORKS PERFECT.

New laptop. Hooked up Logitech Z5300 speaker system. Have power, but no sound. Fuse is good and volume is up.

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling

My logitech z-640 speakers arent working and i have no clue why first id like to know where to plug in the plugs in my laptop theres a geen, orange, black cord i have a microphone, headphone and some other...

The different connectors are for 5.1 surround audio, and are for different speakers with your system.
  • The green connector is for your front-right/front-left speakers
  • The black connector is for your rear-left and rear-right speakers
  • The orange plug is for your center speaker.
Most laptops do not have support for 5-speaker audio, so if you want to test each individually, you will need to plug them in one at a time and test playing sounds through them.
Hope this helps,

I have an mp3 player that i want to hook up to my logitech x-540 speakers but when i do it only plays on the front, or rear speakers depending on which cord i plug it into, is there a way where i can use...

An MP3 player is a stereo device, meaning that it works on two channels - left and right. Therefore a 5.1 speaker system will only play on 2 speakers.

However, if you want to use rear speakers as well, just for the fun of it (you won't get any surround effects, both left speakers will play the left channel, and both right speakers the right channel) you can purchase a "headphone Y-adaptor", that normally allows two people to use two pairs of headphones on the same portable music device.
It has one headphone plug and two headphone sockets in parallel. Plug it into the player, and to the sockets plug the front and rear speaker cables :)

Please come back with a testimonial if helped :)

Problem with starting the speakers

Xplode
Good day and happy holidays
you have to look at back of your comp, if you has a 5.1 speaker first, like Creative Audigy, live, or X-FI, then according with the cables, colors, must be, Green . black, according for output sound, see manual for the cables and put at back according.
