Question about Epson Stylus C84 InkJet Printer
My Epson Stylus C84 printer prints all colors but black, despite a black cartridge that is 75% new. (It's a refilled [by a company] cartridge which worked well for a bit, then stopped). Could it be the chip? Is there a way to clean the contacts? or could it be the ink's clogged up where it leaves the cartridge? And if so, is there a way to clean it? Appreciate any advice.
Sorry but It uses Durabrite ink which tends to turn into hard gel if not printed
at least once a week. Its less painful and expensive to just
throw the printer out and buy a new one. I recommend the canon PIXMA
ip3500. It lets you remove the printhead for cleaning unlike the Epson.
If you want to try your luck at unclogging the printer heres a link to
a unclogging kit but be warned that results are not guaranteed!
The durabrite inks that EPSON invented is brilliant when you print pictures but it tends to harden very easily
