ive had my camera for a while now..prob about 6 yrs..it will not accept any discs..it gives me a formatting error

what you have to do is go to the sony website to download new drivers if you are running windows xp.
then put the floppy disk adapter in after you install the new drivers and format the adapter this should make it work. If not turn the camera on and off a few times with the adapter in it. The cd drivers that came with the camera are for windows 98 2000 etc. They have to be uninstalled befor you download new drivers.
