    All three tubes should be
adjusted for optimum focus and the white balance should be set properly.
The contrast level that requires the blue to be defocused is far too high
for most puposes. Your set will look much better, your tubes will last much
longer, and burn in problems will be much less likely if the contrast is
reduced to about half on the scales that most of the manufacturers use for
the consumer level settings. Get one of the calibration discs (avia or
video essentials) and set levels according to the instructions. Have your
dealer, servicer, or ISF tech set your white balance properly, focus all
three tubes properly, and converge the set. Convergence will be easier and
the results will definitely show up in the resulting picture.

mitsubishis have a problem with mold growing in the silicone cooling
jell of the picture tubes. the tubes have a lense
that is filled with a jell between it and the tube. easy enough to spot, just remove the front screen, and look directly into the three lenses with a flash light. if you see some stuff growing in the jell, thats your problem. you may be able to have the lenses removed, the jell
cleaned out, and replaced with new. or perhaps all the tubes have become damaged, and need replacement.

Light Blue Haze close to the center of the screen

The Optical Engine needs to be replaced. You would need to contact LG / Zenith to get a Service Facility out to confirm the problem and see if they would be willing to help you with the cost. If they do not help with the cost, it will probably not be worth investing the money into it.
I hope this helps,

I changed the LCD lamp, but there is still a yellow haze.

The yellow haze is the result of the blue polarizer burnt-in, you will find it sitting in front of the dlp chip.

Yellow haze

Hi...the yellow haze is probably the blue filter is burnt and needs replaced. This is very common in Zeniths. There are 3 color filters in the Zeniths blue (pinkish in color), green (grayish in color) and the red (it is red). The #1 problem in this TV is the blue filter is burnt and it is an easy fix. It could also be the LCD cube is bad. I would try the blue filter replacement first. It will probably do the trick.

Yellow haze in center of screen

Typically caused by a defective light engine. Part is over $1000 last time I checked on it. Could also be caused by a bad "digital board". I've seen this symptom more than once on this set.
