Antennae Hi! I was interested in your solution. I have a Linksys WRT150N router. Would your suggestion work on this type of router? What is it I am actually looking for? Is it something I plug into the router? Thank-you

Great suggestion - never thought of that solution. I am just waiting to hear about compatibility before trying one of the suggested solutions.

    Thanks again - good stuff!

I'm unsure if your router is a TNC connector or SMA...

another solution to your problem would be a wireless repeater... Although they do create a very small amount of lag(few milliseconds), it will solve your little PS3 problem.

Worked great for me for years... but the high gain antenna is the no lag solution.

I found that Linksys uses TNC and Dlink uses SMA... So TNC is what you need. I would suggest the linksys solution tnc antenna since your product is linksys to begin with...

But any TNC "SHOULD" in theory work... Just make sure your getting two antenna out of it, since your router has two to begin with.

Have you had a look on the firewall website for a suitable firewall system that compliments windows 7?
I had to download a new one myself when I went from Windows XP to Windows Vista.

Sometimes changing systems means you should also change your firewall, then you'll have the most up-to-date software going. Plus it won't slow your computer down like it doesn't sometimes.
Hope I helped Dr Reed

Can not open up ports for my xbox360 on my Linksys WRT150N router

open up your internet browser, and in the top search box (delete the www ****) and type in: 192.168.1.1. or try 192.168.2.1.

that will open up your linksys router, the default password and user name is: admin

then from in there you can mess around with your ports.

Linksys WRT150N

Hi there,

I only have 3 suggestions.

1st one is to make sure the ssid is not similar to other routers you are using on your profile. ie.(change it to a unique name)

2nd is to make sure you check the box that says broadcast your ssid.

3rd check to make sure you select the router as an access point and not adhoc or infrastructure option. Finally you can try to change the channels eg. i like channel 3 b/c it doesnt interfere with any phone lines.

good luck

smeags.
