A wireless printer must connect to the wireless router so you must know the SSID & password of your wireless router.
Initial setup must be done fist by connecting and loading the drivers to the PC. Once done you can print wirelessly because you are printing to a networked TCPIP port.
To setup a network just follow the step by step guide that came with the DIR-615 router. When it comes to setting up the internet on the router wizard just select Cable or DHCP and leave the other internet settings as default.
As regards to your printer we need to know the make and model number so we could further assist you. By knowing the make and model of the printer it will help us how to best setup your printer on the network. The model number is usually the name of the printer or near barcodes on the back or bottom of the printer.
Log in via http://192.168.0.1 (default "username: Admin and no pass") Go to setup tab ----> wireless settings ---->Manual Wireless Network Setup You will see your SSID under Wireless Network Name
There is one way that i know of, you will have to purchase a wireless router(switch). You will then have to setup the wireless router and plug the machine into the router and make sure that the that the rest of the network can see the router.
As soon as the network can see the router you will have to setup the machine.
Assigne the machine with a IP address, and load the printer driver, share the printer and setup the rest of the computers that they can print that should sort you out.if you do not come right please feel free to let me know.

for that you should have a wireless router and the computers should be connected to the router now follow the following instruction to configure the printer
Connecting the unit to the computer
Press the Setup button on the all-in-one. Press the arrow buttons until Network displays and then press OK . The Network menu displays. Press the arrow buttons until Wireless Setup Wizard displays and then press OK . Follow the instructions in the Wireless Setup Wizard. it will ask for the router password you should know the router password to connect After the all-in-one connects to the network, install the product software on the computer.
insert the software cd and install it using network wired/wireless and complete the installation and similarly install on the other computer as well
You're welcome to any help I can offer, and I fully understand the potential for confusion. To set up the router itself requires a computer, since this is the only way to 'talk' to the router....but to set up the wireless printer, only the manual can really help, since every one has differing setup requirements.
Concerning your second query, this needs someone with wider expertise than I have - you might wish to post again with this, or perhaps contact one of the top experts directly for faster results - eg 'ziraffa'. (see home page).
Good luck with solving this issue.
If it is a Linksys router:
Go to 192.168.1.1 in your browser address box.
you will be asked to type in a password in the login box that appears. The linksys router's default password is admin, leave the user name box blank
once the setup page appears, click on the wireless tab, then on the security tab. There you will see your encryption key. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
In order to have a network connection you need to connect your printer to a wireless router that you have. make sure that your computer is already connected to that network.
1. Connect the printer to the router wirelessly. Press the "setup" and then press the arrow key and look for "network". Press ok when you see "network". Press the arrow key and look for wireless setup wizard. After you have successfully connect your printer to the router press ok
2. Check the ip address of the printer by printing wireless configuration page.
3.install the software for the printer
.
You will not be able to setup this printer wirelessly to your router as it is because the printer has no networking capabilities(ethernet or wi-fi). If you want to share the printer throughout the network you need a wireless/wired print server or just enable file and printer sharing on the computer where the lexmark printer is connected the only downside with the second setup is the computer where the printer is connected must stay powered on all the time in order for the rest of the computers ion your network to print compared to the 1st setup with the a print server which is stand alone.
