Question about Water Heaters
I live in Boise City, OK elevation 4,167 feet. I have problems with my pilot staying lit. I have read where others have had the same problem. I have blown out the lines to no improvement. The pilot is noisy and simply goes out for no apparent reason often. Could altitude be the problem??? If so, would a different orrifice help???
I moved you to water heater
if this is HVAC (heating)
the heaters on all these have fail safe.
in the case of water heater, it has thermal-coupler
that feels the heat of the pilot flame, if not hot now, it cuts the gas.
Natural gas or whatever gas there.
on my huge HVAC the heater (flame starter) is huge.
it glows red now , and has 2 safeties, (huge volumes for gas)
the first is the glow bar, has optical sensor that sees IR light and if the blow bar lighter is dead, gas will not flow
then if that glows and the gas fails to ignite, a simular sensor
detects this and will not open gas solenoid.
so bad initor
why not call the service man and not blow self up.

go to control panel, and look at the ports to make certain they are enabled..if not, remove them, then do a scan for hardware changes, and then try it again. I recommend you remove anything plugged into those ports while doing this.

They used to have an account with MSN.com. Now it's all integrated into one so MSN.com uses your hotmail or live.com or .ca for your email. So if you're trying to get rid of your account you can't because it will still ask you for your hotmail or live ID.
