Question about Lexmark X1240 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Even after downloading the Windows Vista Driver I get the following message: AIOC exe has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
By the way this is and e-machine
What you need to change is your screen resolution to either 800 x 600 or to 1024 x 768 (in your desktop settings)
What is happening is that your Lexmark all-in-one center doesn't think your monitor can handle the program (or something to that effect).
You will NOT have to restart your computer either.
Just restart your Lexmark All-In-One program and you can start scanning.

What you will see
The following errors may appear when you try to print:
AIOC.exe has encountered an error
AIOC.exe has stopped working
Printer interface has stopped working
You may also encounter the following issues:
The All-In-One Center (AIOC) is missing.
You can scan via Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) but not using the AIOC.
What to do
Disconnect the USB cable.
Restart the computer to restart the print spooler. NOTE: Click here for instructions on how to stop and restart the spooler without restarting the computer.
Run the applicable cleanup utility, i.e. vistacleanXXX.exe. To obtain this, go to ftp://ftp.lexmark.com/driver/inkjet_drivers/Cleanup/ and select the file for your printer from the list of available utilities.
Reinstall the printer software using the correct Vista driver.
