I am looking for an electric shaver for extra sensitive skin.I currently use a rotating blade and get red irritated skin all over my neck. I can not use a razor as this irritates my skin even worse.I need to shave everyday for work.What electric shaver do you recommend?Are they available in Melbourne , Australia?
The Braun foil shavers are well designed and I find they work well for sensitive skin if you prepare properly. Make sure you apply a hot towel to your face followed by a shaving conditioner. When applying the shaver, press lightly. Don't be afraid to go over the same areas several times to get most of the whiskers. Once you do this for about a week, your skin should begin to adapt to the sensation of electric shaving. You'll then be able to use the shaver more aggressively and get a thorough shave.
In case you have a sensitive skin, I advise you to start
shaving the sensitive areas first and then the less sensitive areas. The reason
is because most electric shavers tent to heat-up during the shaving process
which can cause irritations to your skin.
