Moisture in keyboard.keyboard is not working.

If water has seeped into the keyboard then it is important that you must remove the battery from the PC. remove the keyboard and keep aside , use a hair dryer to warm the keyboard, use moisture absorbants to remove all traces before the unit can be conneccted back.

My keyboard's volume control does not function. I think it is because of the viruse that invades my computer. the other function is working properly. how can I fix it?? have an idea?

Hi mitsutezuka ,

  • There is nothing that is related to virus in this problem, the volume control keys on the key board are extra keys which are usually found to malfunction over a period of time.
  • Also these keys depends on the fact whether the keyboard requires a driver to be installed for them, which depends on the brand of keyboard and whether you received a driver cd along with the keyboard to enable that functionality etc..
  • It could also happen that your operating system is not supporting the keys due to some driver update.
  • In your case it seems that the keys are not functioning due to a circuit damage which is normal for such keyboards with extra keys, Though many people won't do that would recommend you to change or replace the keyboard with a new one because of this reason,if it's under warranty.

Hope this helps.

Function keys don't work as assignment on each key

Please mention whether you are using Notebook or a Desktop Computer. If it is Notebook please let me know the make of the Notebook as there will be a driver for the Function Keys to work. If it is desktop computer try using another keyboard to confirm if the issue is related to hardware of the Keyboard. For both the Wireless Keyboard of the Desktop and Notebook Keyboard it is required to press the Fn Key and the Function Keys (F1 to F12) together in order work.

My fn key is not workin with the f7 key it says no function wat can i do to resolve dis?

try blowing out all of the dust from your keyboard using a fine air blower from an air compressor making VERY sure there is no MOISTURE in the lines.
dust causes static which causes lots of problems with a computer and its parts
or if this does not fix the problem
control panel keyboard you can change your settings there
or you might have uninstall the keyboard then reinstall it and its drivers
control panel keyboard hardware then properties you hould see driver details, update driver, roll back driver, uninstall
make sure you have the driver for the keyboard before uninstalling the driver
make sure the lead is good and has a secure connection diconnect the keyboard then reconnect it then reinstall the driver
hope this helps

My computer, after running for 15 - 20 minutes begins to automatically fill in message/text boxes with zeros, continuously, until the internal alarm bell rings consistently.

You have a heat related issue in your keyboard. Maybe you have moisture under the membranes or even something like a staple which is shorting the connections between the contact pads on the membrane. The chime ringing is the keyboard buffer telling you that it is full and unable to take any more letters. The buffer is filling up because the membrane issue is continuously pressing a key and it sounds like the zero key. You should remove the keyboard and check for foreign objects. On a laptop, this can be quite difficult. Gently remove the function keypad at the top of the keyboard. Under this you should find some small Torx screws. Remove them (taking note of where any screws which are longer then others were fitted) then slide the keyboard forward to release it. Lift it gently but not too far as there is a connecting cable underneath it. Disconnect the cable and lift the keyboard free. Examine the keyboard carefully looking for foreign objects. You may not find anything but you may be able to turn the keyboard over and shake it loosening whatever may be inside. If it rattles, then something is in there. You can remove the keys but write down which keys go where BEFORE you start and be careful as the locking tabs on the keys WILL break if they are removed incorrectly. Look for little tabs on the sides of the keys and gently prise these away with a small screw driver. remove any foreign objects under the keys and any you see between the membranes under the keys..then reassemble. Hope this helps..
