Firmware 3.71 had a bug and that was that it would display that error code instead of the no access point page. You may have to update to 3.80 and you should be sweet!

PSP WIL NOT WORK..HELP!

If you have no wireless internet inside your house, then you can not get online.
However if you do, then go to the internet browser on the psp and try to search for google or some website. As it tries to connect hit the circle button to cancel the connection then it asks what connection to use. Select new connection and scan for your wireless internet. There may be a password, there may not. But go through everything. If you get through everything, you can have fun on the internet with the 4in. screen now. =D

do you have a wireless roughter for your internet?
if you dont, you need to get one for your psp to connect to it
if you do, on the psp, go to settings>network settings and press x
go to infrastructure mode and press x
and create a new connection
its pretty user friendly from there

hope this helps!

Bad connection

Hi i'm ryan, To play online you will need to be close to a wifi location. If you have the internet you will need a wireless router to connect the PSP to. I just recently got a wireless router and since its in the house i have 100% signal connection. If you are using a wifi that you are picking up that is not yours the signal might be weak, or interupted and you will loose connection.

You can go online with the PSP system and browse the Internet. To start browsing the Internet
  1. Check your PSP system set up:
    • Infrastructure Mode
Make sure your PSP system is set up for Infrastructure mode.
See Setting up Infrastructure mode for details.

    • Internet Connection
Make sure you have an internet connection and your PSP is within range of the wireless access point (or hotspot).
PSP®online connectivity requires internet service and network devices, suchas a DSL or cable modem and a wireless router - for example, a Wi-Fihotspot at a café or a wireless local area network (WLAN) in your home.

    • System Software
Make sure you've got the latest System Software.
Requires PSP system software version of 2.0 or higher. Visit PSP System Software Update to download and install the most recent version.

    • WLAN switch
Make sure the WLAN switch on the left side of the PSP system is turned on so that the PSP system can connect to the internet.

  2. In the XMB™ home menu select icn_network.gif (Network) > icn_www.gif (Internet Browser) and press the icn_btnx_color.gif button.

  3. Use the up and down buttons to select the address bar and then press the icn_btnx_color.gif button to display the on-screen keyboard.

  4. Enter the address for the web page you want to display, select Enter and then press the icn_btnx_color.gif button.
For more information, see Using the On-screen Keyboard.

  5. Select a connection and press the icn_btnx_color.gif button.

  6. The web page is displayed.

  7. To hide the on-screen menu, press the icn_btntriangle_color.gif button.

To close the Internet connection:
  1. With a web page on the screen, press the icn_btncircle_color.gif button.

  2. Select Yes and press the icn_btnx_color.gif button.

  3. The internet browser will close.

If you have issues connecting to the Internet, you may wish to troubleshoot your Infrastructure mode connection.

Internet

Requirements:
1.Your firmware needs to be fairly new, around 3.80 (if not, you can download the most recent official PSP firmware from a few online sites.
2.You must have a wireless internet connection, like linksys, or a modem. (If you do not have this, you can use the scan feature to find another wireless internet connection in your local area.)

How to use:
1.Goto Internet Browser.
2.Goto Menu.
3.Select the top option.
4.Type in the web address, or URL. (ex. www.aimonpsp.com)
5.You should arrive at the web page.
Note: If the scanned internet connection goes down, or you move out of range, the internet browser will no longer work, and you must scan again.

Connecting internet on psp

What you will need.

1. network password to your wireless.
2. if you are doing it manually then you will need the ip address of the router.

Lets stick to the first one for now.

- there is a switch to turn on your wLan on the psp. Turn this on then navigate to internet on your psp, search for your wireless router and enter the appropriate encrpytion u are using eg. wep, wpa etc then enter the network key.

wait a few secs while it connects and you are online.

good luck

smeags.

How to get internet on my psp

Look its not necessary get internet on ur psp. Its how to connect to the internet on the psp. You are gonna need a wireless internet network. Usually at food restaurants, or at ur house. Its not like you can connect the psp with a cable to the internet. Its all wireless hottie262477. To find wireless go all the way to your left on the psp and turn on the wifi button. Then go ur settings and all the way down to network settings. From there click on infracture mode. And scan for wireless hotspots. Of course any wireless one that says it needs a wep code. Means that it has a password and if you don't know the password you can't necessarily access it. So use the no password hotspots. Also remember its very easy to connect a wireless network in your house as long as u have high speed internet. Now that you this u can enjoy ur psp and play online and use the web browser. Good luck Diego :-)
