Question about IBM ThinkPad T43 Notebook
I have a noisy fan and need to remove the keybord to access it, how do I remove the keyboard
Remove the screws on the bottom of the machine - there are 3 I think one of them is below a removeable panel - the plastic base is marked with a little keyboard symbol by each screw - then pop up the tab with the mouse buttons on by gently pushing a small pin or rod in the hole from the base under this tab where the screw was. Lift keyboard at the front and slide toward you until it is released by the screen - lift the keyboard gently and disconnect the plug from the connecting cable.

U may have a software problem & u may have to remove and REstore the drivers for the[keyboadr] button\volume control.
Did u get a RESTORE disk\CD for your t43 pc?
2nd) your keyboard maybe dirty and may need cleaning.
they sell a small vaccum cleaner with a small brush attached to the 'sucky' part.
If not use a " smoking Pipe cleaner " [looks like the ties that keep bread from coming out of the plastic bag] but with soft material around the entire length.soke with lighter fulid,Stick the "pipe cleaner" inbetween the keypads on the keyboard . make sure that u AIR FAN the keyboard V E R Y G O O D AND MAKE SURE THAT THE power is off before u do this.
