Tv picture is too large for screen despite changing mods top and bottom is cut off

Sounds like you need to change the aspect. Either your TV or source aspect ratio is set improperly.

go to your settings and check tv resolution,tv display and tv ratio

mine did not fix, picture is still huge and pushed to bottom of screen so the top is black all the way across

It appears that on this television you can only adjust the picture size when you are using the twin picture feature. You must adjust the picture size with your other remote control. Since I do not know whether you are connected to a cable box or a satellite tv box or a blu ray player or a DVD player I cannot be very specific. On your other remote control you should had an hd zoom button, aspect, format, ratio, #, or etc. Those buttons change the picture size. The other factor determining picture size is the resolution the equipment connected to your tv is set to. This tv supports 1080i but you should also try setting the connected equipment to 720p or 480p or 480i. Also the connected equipment may be connected to your tv in two places so make sure you are on the correct selection using the tv video button on the Sony remote.

Press "wide mode" on TV remote until it is on "full". Check for same on set-top box.

Check the menu settings for the picture. You may be expanding the image to fill the sides, in the process, cutting the top and bottom.

Try changing your Aspect Ratio, look in your manual.

Change your Display Format (widescreen mode) . You're using ZOOM. Press FORMAT on the TV remote control to cycle through the available display formats.

It all depends on the dvd that you are watching you cant change it to anything bigger than what is was recorded.

You will have to just watch it like it is. I have the same thing with my dvd player its really thin picture its annoying

take zoom offf on dish and the tv it sel use normal 16 .9 ,mode when u push screen in to it use 1024x768 60 hertz ok
