3-months new, Touchscreen locked @ enter pin, won't accept any input. Unit won't shut off unless power is removed.
The security pin ID was designed to discourage theft of Garmin GPS products. You can change the security PIN by taking your GPS to the location where you set the PIN and or send it back to Garmin with proof of purchase. I would see if you can update your unit through Garmin web site to see if it helps with the power issue, if not, it probably is the hardware switch and will require you to send it back to Garmin. If you purchased your unit from Costco, simply return it for a new one. Membership privileges. If you purchased it from your local retailer such as Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc. I'm sure they can assist you with getting your issue resolve with Garmin. If you purchased it eBay or an auction site, you maybe out of luck. Good Luck
