This must be a loose DC Port Issue. If the system is still under warranty, you can call Sony and they can repair it for you.

Sony vaio PCG-7142L keeps freezing

Can check if the battery is low ... or is not (or cannot) holding a good charge ... when you unplug it (from the charger) ... when this happens ?

If that is the case, it may "freeze" while it is busy trying to store the contents of your memory before it shuts down (or hibernates). Does it shut down (or goes into hibernate if you let it continue to "freeze") for a while ? If so, then it's your battery.

If the battery doesn't hold a good charge, the laptop will run only a short time (while unplugged) before it has to shut down due to low battery. And if this is the case, consider getting a replacement (new) battery. And follow the initial charging instructions (for a new battery) to lengthen the life of the battery.

My sony vaio will not turn on

Either the power supply is bad (has died) or the power unit in your laptop is bad. Try another power supply if possible. If not you'll need to open up your computer and replace the power supply unit.

My VAIO doesnt seem to charge up when connected to the power supply button at times it works then power depletes very quickly.

How long did your Sony VAIO battery been used? Li-ion battery's life is about 2 years. And you can do a battery capacity correction by your VAIO's Battery management software and to see that if the problem get better. else you need a new Sony VAIO battery.

I cannot connect to video projection my labtop is vio VGN-SZ28gp Video projection cable do not recognize my labtop!

Connecting an External Monitor or Data Projector
You can switch to anexternal monitor by two methods. 1. Connect the externalmonitor to the laptop's video port, power up the external monitor first and thelaptop. The video information will automatically switch to the externalmonitor. 2. If you power up thelaptop first then you can switch the video output to the external monitor bypressing the Fn key and one of the Function keys, depending upon your make andmodel laptop. You can also toggle between the external monitor or both LCDscreen plus the external monitor or back to LCD screen only by pressing the Fnkey plus one of the function key.

Hullo, I spilled wine on my sony vaio

spilling the wine could have caused a surge to your battery or charger either one could be damaged but if your battery is reading full and powers off at random then it is probably your battery and needs to be replaced

Charging it

It sounds like your power charger connection to the motherboard may be loose and you may need to buy a new battery due to the short in the charging piece being so fickle.

Good Luck.
