Canon I960 No power

I recently went to power-up our i960 printer to do some photos. Nothing happened! I have checked everything I could think of (even bought a seperate power supply on E-bay); but nothing seems to work. Help!

Wow...that is unusual...nothing on the panel, nothing with the printheads moving?

that would suggest that the internal control board is blown..

let me check my service manual on that..

Sourdough12,
You could trace voltage in from the Power Supply onto the circuit board using a VOM/Multimeter and if so you should be able to locate the open circuit (the component that is at fault) . Have you opened the printer's case yet? If so, you could check for continuity using the Ohm function of the VOM (which wouldn't require the printer to have voltage applied as with tracing Voltage). What would it cost to replace the printer, as it may be feasible to do so versus repairing it, as I have found in the past that buying a new printer was only a few dollars more than replacing the cartridges at times.
Good luck.

Have you verified that your power adapters (supply) has power? Use a multimeter and check it. Otherwise there is probably a burnt component on the printer's mainboard. If you feel up to it you could open the printer and look at the board. There may be replacement boards on eBay also. Otherwise you would be best to purchase a new printer, current prices are amazing and you get a warranty.

check the ink level.
As this printer uses six different color tanks, if any one color is not there it will affect the printing quality.

Cannot clean Canon i960

The print driver might not be sending the correct color profile for photo paper. Check that your selection of the paper type "sticks", that is, that it doesn't revert to plain paper when you click on the print button.
If the print dialog is not working properly, then please get in touch with Canon's tech support to resolve this.
