sir, use data cable to connect it with pc then older version of pc suit will never connect mobile to internet . so download new version from net.if you installed new version pc suite to pc then get into the pc suit installed and go to connect internet and enjoy net services. If you are using Airtel connection and have activated GPRS on your number then you can use the following settings:

Passwd blank
Rest of the settings could be any thing.
BUT, you have to have GPRS activated from Airtel, then only would the net be accessed.
