If you have your surround sound already hook up to tv already then yes (atgjohn) is right..But don't for get when you power on your ps3 to press and hold you ps3 power button until you hear two beeps and you'll ps3 will reset it self..some times if your ps3 is hook up to another tv the setting are stuck on to the other tv on your ps3,and you'll just get black screen with sound...

Find an open input (RGB or yellow, white red) connect to that if you use RGB then you will need to connect the audio to optical or a anolog input, optical is better sound....also many units have an input on the front that can be used, that way you can unplug the Play Station when your done and move it to another TV.

Just baught a used saround sound speaker system and have no manual to show us how to hook it up and where the conection wires are supose to conect to my television

Without knowing its model number and that of your television this answer has to be very general. Generally speaking you would connect a television to a surround sound system from the television's audio outputs to one of the surround sound system's auxiliary inputs. However most televisions do not have outputs. If your television fortunately has one, then you'd proceed to connect either the red and white RCA audio cable or the digital audio out one depending upon your television's capabilities. The RCA connection though just stereo sound is more reliable as the optical cable's performance can be iffy, and can have a lot of conditions that'll end up with it not working most of the time. The way I have mine set up is I connect all of my devices to the television with a video cable and then separately connect all of them to the surround sound system with an audio cable. Then to hear the sound from the various devices I press my function button on my remote or surround sound system to switch between FM radio, the set top box, and the dvd player.

Trying to hook my Wii up using the AV audio Jacks

Connect the Wii to your television. Then connect the variable audio output from the TV to the audio in on the monitor section of the receiver. Then use the TV/SAT input selection on the receiver and dolby prologic 2 as your sound mode.

Can't get Playstation3 sound through the STR-DG800 using HMDI.

Do you have your ps3 connected to the TV with HDMI and then audo cables from the TV to the receiver? If so, you need to make sure you change the audio settings on your TV to surround sound.

How do i install my surand sound and cable box to my LG television so the cable is ran through my surround sound and goes to my television? also how do i hook up my surround sound to my television?

If you have a scart cable going to tv from cable box all you have to do is put a phono cable from tv to system input, this could be "aux, sat,tv,input",switch system to input you put phono cables into and set to prologic2,you now should have sound.
hope this helps.

Technics surround sound system

Use whatever TV sound output conforms to your receiver's input. If an optical or coaxial digital sound output is available, that is the way to get 5.1 surround sound through the SA-DX1050. But you have to assign the correct input (COAX, OPT1 or OPT2) to the selector (TV, DVD, CD). See pp 12-13 of the operationg instructions for D-Input instructions. If you don't have the manual you can download it at Panasonic.com.
