Question about Philips PET702 Portable DVD Player
I am trying to open an Indian CD in US bought Philips PET702 Portable DVD player and I am getting message as 'No Disk'. I have changed the region to '0' and tried. But still the same problem.
It does not even open the mp3 CD. This player has mp3 capability
Press setup on the remote
Use the arrows to navigate to Prefreneces (pref)
type 9 6 5 3
Select Region code (press down arrow to set to 0, open for all codes)
Press setup again to exit
is working :D

I have seen this model in a store. if you are referring to playing an audio cd, the piece i saw has a button for playing audio cds right on top.

I am having the same problem. My understanding is that DVD players have regional codes. And will only lay DVDs in th same region. The solution is to unlock the region code on the player. I am still trying to find the unlock code.

Optical assembly is not reading the surface info of the disc. Time for service visit...accordianman
