DVD plays fine, tape side plays fine, checked to see if machine was locked, which it wasn't, but the DVD simply won't eject. Can anyone help?

Open up the component and get access to where the plastic gears and linkages of the DVD are visible. Most of the time, the 'rack and pinion' type linkage to move the tray, separated. Put them back together... NOW! Here is a picture of a toshiba DVD with the problem.

I have the same problem. Sony DVD / VCR combo SLV-D950 wont open DVD tray. Opened it last night. There is a manual dial on the DVD tray if you flip open the front tray (small grey wheel to the left). This will get a DVD out. Not sure how to fix yet... I suspect motor board.

Get out your Phillips Screw Driver and take that "bad boy" apart. Once the housing is off you can get your DVD out. See what happens when you buy a 24.00 DVD player.:)

DVD player wont eject dicks or play just say's disc error

You need to insert dicks into the DVD player, also, once it ejects the dicks, you should wait 20 minutes or so before attempting to eject more dicks.

DVD player not working...unable to eject

If the tray wont eject and/or there is a DVD stuck inside then the only way to get it out is to open up the DVD player and take the DVD unit out.
