Desktop Icon for Ebay

I have been helping a friend and was unable to create an icon on the desktop for her Ebay.

    Sounds like it might work this way. I have been clicking on the web page to get Create Shortcut to Desktop and the Icon does not work. I will try again. Thank you for the quick response.

Right click on desktop>New>Shortcut

Follow the steps, and remeber to put http://www.ebay.com instead of www.ebay.com, or else it won't recognize it as a web address.

if you are on older windows you can right click most menu items and click on send to desktop or other places. in windows 10 I just select the icon and drag it to the desktop or wherever I want it. If you are creating a new icon that is not listed anywhere ells you can right click on the desktop to create a new shortcut

Assuming your version of the program is still valid, go to the start menu,select all programs, find the right one, RIGHT click on it, select "create shortcut" and drag it onto the desktop

How to add to desktop


1.Open Live Mail (or any other web page) on you browser.
2.On the address bar, in from of the address, you have like a little icon (for Live Mail should be a padlock). Click and drag that icon on your desktop.

Missing shortcut for bearshare, unable to reinstall


Find the folder that bearshare is installed in. Locate the icon that says bearshare (it may just have bs). Left click the icon once. Now right click the icon and select create shortcut. Now cut and paste the new shortcut icon on your desktop.

Icons are missing from computer screen

  1. Right-click the desktop.
  2. Point to Arrange Icons By.
  3. Click Show Desktop Icons.

B. To re-create the Show desktop icon yourself, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type notepad in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Carefully copy and then paste the following text into the Notepad window:[Shell]
    Command=2
    IconFile=explorer.exe,3
    [Taskbar]
    Command=ToggleDesktop
  3. On the File menu, click Save As, and then save the file to your desktop as "Show desktop.scf". TheShow desktop icon is created on your desktop.
  4. Click and then drag the Show desktop icon to your Quick Launch toolbar.

Find a Missing Internet Explorer Icon in Windows XP
  • Step 1 Click the "Start" button. Click on "All Programs." Look for an icon called "Internet Explorer." Right-click the icon. Select "Copy" from the menu.
  • Step 2 Find a blank space on your Desktop and right-click on it. Select "Paste" from the menu. You should see a new icon called "Internet Explorer." Double-click it to make sure that it works.
  • Step 3 Open "My Computer" on your Desktop if you were unable to find the Internet Explorer icon in "All Programs." Double-click the "C:" drive. Double-click "Program Files." Open the folder named "Internet Explorer."
  • Step 4 Select the "iexplore.exe" icon and right-click on it. Choose "Create Shortcut" from the menu. Scroll down to the bottom of the window. Right-click the "Shortcut to iexplore.exe" icon. Click "Copy."

    Fsx Icon will not save on my desktop


    You need to go the FSX directory, find FSX.exe, right-click this icon and drag it to the desktop, release the mouse button and choose "create shortcut here" from the fly-out menu. This will create a proper icon for you.

    My icons on my desktop are gone. How do I restore them or put new ones on Windows 98?

    To create new icons, do this
    I stopped using Windows 98 ages ago, So, the following instruction is from memory only.

    From the Starts -> Program List
    • Locate the program for which you want an icon
    • Right click on it
    • A pop up menu appears
    • Select Create a desktop icon
    A desktop icon will be created and placed on the desktop
    You can go to that icon on the desktop and rename it by right clicking and ....
    Do the above steps for any other programs for which you want an icon on the desktop.

    Ebay icon has dissapeard


    go to the start > pogram > in that ebay right clik and send to desktop
