I recently brought MP610 and I am having a problem already. The problem I'm having is when I try to print a picture the color is printing. A picture will print when I check grayscale but when I unclick grayscale I get nothing.

Hmmm..interesting..you get new drivers on that printer? try here, just in case it's an older set for your operating system.

Get the latest driver from Canon's web site. Then uninstall the printer. Remove the driver from your computer. Use regedit to remove any traces of your printer from your registry. Install the new driver. That should do it.

Printed pages have blank lines in the print for the red, blue and yellow colors. Have tried cleaning and deep cleaning several times. No change.

Do you have photo cyan or photo magenta installed? your machine does not use these inks, and will give wrong colors. You need plain magenta and plain cyan. If you are using generic inks, they could have bad colors too.

Canon MP610 - colours printed are not the same as on pc screen

This is likely because your monitor is not calibrated with your printer. Search for monitor color calibration online and then calibrate your colors to match the color profile used by the MP610, likely Adobe RGB or something similar.

Printing

hello,
probably the printer takes his own color-profiles installed by epson.
Click on propriaties of the printer and create your own color-profile for diferent sizes.
you can take the color-profile from a smaler size and save it choosing an other size.
So You also can improove your pictures by changing the color-profile after your needs...
but then you should use the same paper , because different papers give different colors.
you can also improove the colors by choosing-on the profile-another type of paper.

i hope i could help
