2.0 CH USB powered speaker system is not working. We have plugged into the computer and cna't get any sound

You must to buy and use an active USB hub.It's like the ordinary USB,but have own power supply.I think your speaker haven't enough power,so try to use the active HUB!!It works.
You can purchase it in any PC shop,or the Internet shop etc.

Front 4 usb ports and microphone and headphone jacks don't work but the rear usb and speaker jacks do work. I've had the computer new since 2009 and they have never worked.


it sounds to me like the wires from the front panel connectors are not connected to the motherboard inside the computer case, open the case up find the front connectors wires inside and find out if there are any connectors on the motherboard to plug them into.
the reason the rear ones work is because they are soldered directly to the motherboard.

The sound on my computer is not working. It is not muted. Can you help?


I can't hear sound from my computer.

There are a few simple things to check first:


Make sure your computer has a sound card.

You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.

1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.? Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.


2. Expand the Sound, video and game controllers category. If a sound card is listed, you have one installed. If no sound card is listed, You will need to install one. See Install or remove a sound card.

Note

If you think you have a sound card installed but you don't see it under the Sound, video and game controllers category, expand the Other devices category and check any devices listed there.

3. If there is a yellow question mark next to the name of the sound card, there might be a problem. Right-click the name of the sound card, and then click Properties.

4. Click the General tab, and then look in the Device status box to identify problems with the sound card.


Make sure your speakers are plugged into a working power source and turned on.

Make sure your speakers are correctly connected to the computer.

On your speakers, find the cable that plugs into your computer. Make sure that the speaker cable is plugged into the speakers and the correct jack on the computer. For example, if the cable is a 1/8 inch cable, there should be a round jack for it on the back of the computer. If it is a universal serial bus (USB) cable, it will plug into any USB port on your computer.

Make sure that the speaker volume is not muted or turned down too low.


1. Open Volume Control by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then, under Audio Devices and Sound, clicking Adjust system volume.


2. Under Main Volume, move the slider up or down to raise or lower the volume.

Speaker wires are pluged in on my dell inspiron 530 but not working help


    • 1 Make sure that your computer and speakers are plugged in, have power and are turned on. If the speakers are plugged in but don't appear to have any power, plug them into a different outlet. Some speakers are self powered and use a USB cable to supply power. Make sure that the USB cable of your speakers is connected securely to the USB port of your computer.
    • 2 Retest the sound. If you still don't have any sound, make sure the cable connecting the speakers to the computer (known as a 1/8-inch TRS cable) is plugged into the green audio output jack on the PC.
    • 3 If you're using self-powered USB speakers, remove the USB cable and plug it into a different USB port. If you're using outlet-powered speakers and have a working set handy, replace the suspected non-working speakers with the working pair to test.
    • 4 Navigate to the Microsoft Fix It troubleshooter (windows.Microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/no-sound-in-windows) to automatically detect and fix sound playback or hardware problems. If that doesn't work, proceed with the next step.
    • 5 If you have an add-on sound card and none of the hardware or software fixes helps, you may have to replace the sound card. If you use on-board sound, it will probably pay to purchase an inexpensive sound card rather than a new motherboard. Check the system BIOS to determine whether you have inadvertently disabled your on-board sound.
    • 6 Navigate to the "Start" menu and select the "Control Panel" and "Sounds and Audio Devices." Then click the "Volume" tab. If everything is grayed out, proceed to Step 7. If the "Mute" box is checked, uncheck it. In "Device Volume," make sure that your volume level is set to a comfortable volume level for your speakers.
    • 7 Click the "Sounds" tab. Under "Sound Scheme," determine whether "No Sounds" is selected. If it is, click "Sound Schemes." A drop-down list will appear. Select "Windows Default" as the scheme. To test your sound now, click on a sound listed below the "Program Events" window. The sounds will be indicated by a small "Speaker" icon located next to them. Left-click the sound once, then click the "Play" button. If you still don't hear sound, proceed with the next step.
    • 8 Click the "Audio" tab. Under the "Sound Playback" option, make sure your sound card is selected as the default playback device. Usually, only one device appears here, unless you have multiple playback devices installed.
    • 9 If everything is grayed out, you either do not have a playback device installed or your drivers are corrupted and need to be replaced. Drivers help hardware and software function together. Fix this by reinstalling the appropriate drivers. Do this by navigating to the "Start" menu and right-clicking "Computer." Then select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. Click the "Hardware" tab and then click the "Device Manager" button. The Device Manager will open.

If a red X appears, right-click the device with the X and select "Enable" from the pop-up menu. Test your sound at this point. Next, click the "Roll Back Driver" button to roll back to the previous drivers that were functioning correctly. Restart your computer when prompted.
    • 11 As a last resort, you can uninstall and reinstall the device. To do this, right-click the device and select "Uninstall" from the pop-up menu. Restart your computer. Windows will automatically detect and install your audio device upon boot-up. If you still don't hear any sound from your computer speakers, contact a qualified computer technician.

My speakers are not working


Step 1
If no sound is coming from the computer, start troubleshooting your problem. Make sure both your computer and speakers are plugged in, have power, and are turned on. If the speakers are plugged in but do not appear to have any power, plug them into a different outlet. If you are using a power strip and this is case, replace the power strip. Some speakers are self powered and use a USB cable to supply power. Make sure that the USB cable of your speakers is connected securely to the USB port of your computer.

Step 2
Once you have verified that you have power to your speakers, test the sound again. If you still do not have any sound, make sure the cable connecting the speakers to the computer (known as a 1/8" TRS cable) is plugged into the green audio output jack on the PC.

Step 3
Before we move to software, let's try two more hardware fixes. If you are using self-powered USB speakers, remove the USB cable and plug it into a different USB port. If you are using outlet powered speakers and have a working set handy, replace the non-working speakers with the working pair to test. If you still have nothing, let's move on to software. But one tip first: (for geeks and beginners)

Step 4
As it is with any troubleshooting process, the issue can sometimes come down to the hardware itself. If you have an add-on sound card and none of the hardware or software fixes helps, you may have to replace the sound card. If you use on-board sound, it will probably pay to purchase an inexpensive sound card rather than a new motherboard. If you've been messing around in the BIOS, you may have disabled your on-board sound if that's what you're using. If you don't know what BIOS means, you probably haven't been there and can move on.

Step 5
Go to your desktop. Click Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume tab. If everything is grayed out, go to step 8. If the "Mute" box is checked, un-check it. In "Device Volume" make sure that your volume level is set to a comfortable volume level for your speakers.

Step 6
Click the "Sounds" tab. Under "Sound Scheme" check to see if "No Sounds" is selected. If it is, click "Sound Schemes" and a drop down list will appear. Select "Windows Default" as the scheme. To test your sound now, click on a sound listed below the "Program Events" window. These will be indicated by a small speaker icon located next to them. Simply left click the sound once, then click the play button. If you hear sound, congratulations. If not, move on.

Step 7
Click the "Audio" tab. Under the "Sound Playback" option, make sure your sound card is selected as the default playback device. Usually, only one device appears here, unless you have multiple playback devices installed.

I need to hook speakers up to my Dell B110 computer.


2 things are needed to get sound from your speakers:

1-wiring connecting your speakers to a socket to the back of the computer. (The spot they need to plug in to ON YOUR COMPUTER is a small light green circular socket. The other end of the plug you plug in here should run to one of your speakers *usually the right side speaker-the right speaker should then have separate wiring to connect the left speaker.)

2- A source of power.
Some speakers use their own power source and plug in to a power outlet - your wall. Other types have a USB type plug and plug into a USB port in your computer and that is how THOSE get their power.

Those are the basics of sound setup. Some computers are equipped with more complicated setups such as surround sound, subwoofers, digital and more. Reply if you need more help, I will try to assist you further.

My speakers are not working. The computer came with Realtek speakers but not with the normal jack. I believe it is a USB jack which I plugged into two USB ports above where the jacks would go. I'm not sure...


Check if your computer has a sound card available
Check on the back of your computer
Power up you set of speakers, some speakers doesn;t work without power
Check the speakers connections (between them)

Is your Sound card running fine? Check it in device manager. The Green port is generally the correct one to use. Check all the voumes are on max and its all plugged ub rught.
Personally i reccomend you try live chat for this kind of issue. THeres to many questions to ask

Did you get a software CD with this speaker set? Check the box and ensure that it says it's compatible with Windows Vista. I'm not aware of any speaker sets that wouldn't be, but it's always a possibility.

Also, more importantly, plug in the speakers before turning the laptop on. Many powered speaker sets will not work if you plug them in while the system is on.

Hi There Try this, CONNECTION Check your connections on Rear part of your PC. Lime is for Sound Out usually a speaker, Pink is for Mic, Blue for Audio Input. VOLUME Try Adjusting the vlume on your PC first. Check the volume on the Headphone too if there is one. CLEANING Using a dump clothe. Wipe the plugs with a twisting motion. WIRELESS\BLUETOOTH Check your battery if it is drained. Try replacing them with a new one or charge them if they are rechargables. If all fails then You may have a Sound Card problem. Using a spare Speaker or Headphone check it if it works. If its not then its Defective and needs replacement. If its working then your Speakers or Headphones are defective. Try fixing them by cleaning or checking the Continuity of its cables using a analog Multi tester. Hope This helps ======================= If you are having trouble with Newly bought items then return them and demand a replacement or a refund! You may have purchased a reconditioned\repaired\factory defect product.
