Format your drive, I am guessing the Defragment messed up your U3 file

Hope this helped!

what sysetm, mac,PC, DRV, TV?
what OS, windows, MAC, or Linux, what?

im googling like crazy what is this thing, ah, a flash drive?
pen/thumb/stick drive? flash memory stick?

first off , if you removed the device with out ejecting it
using the windoz task abar USB Icon, then you will scramble that memory. (its just a matter of time. easy to do, as rolling dice)
so if STICK
is dead on all USB ports, and 2 systems
then its dead. or more likely scrambled.
there is recovery software to get some data.
but i never trust just 1 stick as backup. not now , not ever.
a thumb drive (oxymoron, its no drive) is just flash memory
it can go bad.
it can get static damaged.
water logged.
or filthy and not connect. they are expendable. totally.
if backed up , reformat it. that is the only cure.
if it will not format try a new system. and all uSB ports.
if it still will not format , its DEAD.
next time EJECT it. (this is a software command not a physical action to the device)
you can change windows to not buffer cache this STICK.
and will be more reliable. (when not EJECTING )
Im not going to explain cache flushing here.... but you can look that up.

Incorrect function

that is a fash stick memory
if you removed it , from the system with out ejecting it , you will scramble it (in comp. jargon that means corruption)

try all USB ports
try 2 systems
if dead, its dead, reformat it or buy recover software for flash stick memory.

I have Logiix 4 gb memory that shows that is 80 full although I erased everything anyone knows how to reformat it?

assuming it is a flash memory drive you are refering to then connect it to a pc, under my computer, identify the drive and right mouse click on it, select format.. if the drive utilises a form of recycle bin then it might just be that you have to empty that before the memory becomes available again

I cannot open my pen drive. 'A corrupted and unreadable' message appear. Please help..

When you connect it to your PC, if you are using Windows, go to My Computer, right-click the drive, and click Format. Then just click the Format button at the bottom.

That should get your drive working again temporarily, if there's any life left in it. There may not be - getting that error is a sign that your flash drive probably needs to be replaced. Sorry!

Please can you send me detailed instructions on how to use a kingston usb memory stick

The memory stick becomes another drive, when plugged into the USB port. Some sticks have a write protect, which is a teeny tiny switch. If the switch is in the protect position, you can read but not write any data to the drive. Often the drive will be listed after all of your camera card ports.
To view the drive press and hold the Windows key and press the letter E. and then release both. The available drives should show up there.

try another usb flash on that same port and see if it is the same thing, if it is then it is not your usb flash, it is the port that is bad.

Am I supposed to just put the memory stick in the usb port in the front of my cpu? How long does it take before it's done. This is the first time I've ever purchased this.

Most of these portable memory sticks are all plug and play. This simply means they are ready to be used whenever and wherever. Just plug in the drive to your USB port and drag files into the listed hard drive. Just remember, do not pull this stick out of the USB port without pressing "safely remove hardware" on your start bar. Failure to do this can result in frying your flash memory. Best of luck!
